Happy 4th of July to ALL!

This is the weekend that many of us spend together at BBQ's, parties and fun summertime events. As we get together to enjoy each others company, let's be mindful of the member of the military who keep this country safe.
While we enjoy BBQ’s and the fun celebrations of Fourth of July weekend, we are also mindful of those who serve in our military and keep our country safe.

Hamilton is a proud supporter of our troops and their families and has been since the beginning. dating back to 1942, the Trenton Hamilton store displayed a sign that stated "Buy War Bonds at Hamilton". Although these were not typically found at jewelry stores, Hamilton's owner Irving Siegel, was extremely patriotic and insisted on the policy.

Hamilton honors the men and women in uniform today and all days.
Thank you for your service, Happy Fourth of July!

MADE in the USA!

As we move into the Fourth of July weekend and Independence Day,
it’s a great time to take a look at watches built in America.

Shinola — with headquarters in Detroit — has an interesting story behind it. In fact, back in April, former U.S. President Bill Clinton, the 42nd president and founder of the Clinton Foundation, visited Shinola’s workshops in Detroit. It is rumored that at the time he already owned two Shinola timepieces (including a 47mm Runwell that sells from $550) and then was presented with a third (with the Presidential Seal on the back) while touring the site.

The story gets better. It is said that he bought five Shinola watches as Christmas gifts last year and then recently purchased another nine for gifts. Representatives of Shinola, when asked about it, quipped: “We do not comment on customer purchases.” So, it seems, the real question here is: Are you a friend of Bill Clinton? If so, you may end up with a $550 Runwell – built in America by Shinola. If not, shop our Shinola selection online or stop by our Princeton location to view this built in America brand in person.
